Birdwatching: Pied-billed Grebe

It was found singly on a small marshy pond. Secretive, curious but cautious. It took in the warm sunshine while foraging occasionally beneath the water surface.

Distribution of the Pied-billed Grebe in North and Central America and the western Caribbean. This species also breeds in South America and the Hawaiian Islands, and winters in the eastern Caribbean.
